Michael Krigsman, President and CEO
Michael
led the research effort underlying Asuret's model of collective
intelligence and its practical application to reducing IT failures in consulting
environments. He is a recognized authority on the causes and prevention of IT failures and is frequently quoted in the press on IT project and related CIO issues. Michael writes a respected and popular blog, called IT Project Failures, for ZDNet, a unit of CBS News. He is considered an enterprise software industry influencer and provides advice to technology buyers, vendors, and services firms.
Previously, Michael served as CEO of Cambridge Publications, which develops tools and processes for software implementations
and related business practice automation projects. Michael has been involved with hundreds
of software development projects, for companies ranging
from small startups to Fortune 500 organizations. Michael graduated with an M.B.A. from Boston
University and a B.A. from Bard College. He is a Board member of the America's
Cup Hall of Fame and the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol,
RI.
Lisbeth Shaw, Vice President
As co-founder of Asuret, Lisbeth Shaw brings
an experienced systems engineering perspective to project
and program management. She proposed the core concepts
behind Asuret's collective intelligence methodology. As
co-founder of Cambridge Publications, Lisbeth
established an organization
that defined projects based on clients' needs, built project
teams, and managed large, complex projects on a fixed-price
basis and within the confines of tight schedules. Previously,
she worked as a project and systems engineer for Teledyne,
Millipore, and Raytheon. She currently is past president
of the Organization of Chinese Americans New England. Lisbeth
received a B.S. degree in systems engineering in 1979 from
the University of Rochester.
Duane Harris, Project Operations
Prior to Asuret, Duane Harris served as VP of Operations at BAP Global Solutions, LTD, an enterprise consulting firm based in the UK. Duane managed all IT, legal, operations & finance for BAP. Before that, Duane served as a vice president at Cambridge Publications, Inc., a New England firm specializing in technical and business process training and documentation, where he managed major projects for Lotus, Intel, Microsoft, IBM, and Johnson & Johnson, doubling his division’s revenue in three years. He was president and chief operating officer of ScreamDesign.com, a successful web development company that he built from the ground up. Duane received a J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. degree from Harvard University.
Jeffrey Tarter, Principal Consultant
Jeffrey Tarter is a well-known software
industry analyst who oversees Asuret's survey methodology
and implementation research. As the founding editor of Softletter,
he has done extensive research in software business practices,
metrics, and customer support issues.
Arnold Howitt, Principal Consultant
Management specialist Arnold Howitt is a
faculty member at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School
of Government and executive director of its Taubman Center
for State and Local Government. Dr. Howitt has consulted
extensively with public and private sector organizations
and, among other courses, teaches Managing Organizational
Change.
Sal Rasa, Principal Consultant
Sal Rasa has been active in communication and collaborative learning efforts within business, arts and education for over thirty years. He founded a company that creates community-driven solutions, dedicated to communication as the lifeblood of an organization and the understanding that the answers are always in the audience. He has consulted to companies in a variety of industries, including IBM, Merck, Schering-Plough, Schlumberger, BMW, Nissan, Philip Morris, Nabisco, Lancaster General Hospital, Westinghouse, Omnicom, American Scandia, Citigroup, and UBS. Sal was a senior communication consultant at Watson Wyatt and served as vice president of global communication and business transformation for Maritz Performance Improvement. He is a founding member of im21(innovation/measurement 21st century). Recently, he co-produced and directed the PBS documentary Where Words Prevail, sponsored by WGBH Boston, based on the work of Cicely Berry O.B.E.
Barbara Kivowitz, Principal Consultant
Barbara Kivowitz has expertise in complex systems change, innovation strategy, team and leadership development, and cross-organizational collaborative networks. Barbara was the chief organizational systems architect for Lotus Institute, an R&D group within Lotus/IBM that pioneered original knowledge management solutions, where she directed the creativity and innovation practice area. Barbara also served as vice president of R&D for the e-Teaming Company. Barbara has written extensively about virtual collaboration, technology-enabled innovation, and knowledge management. She is co-author of The Manager's Pocket Guide to Knowledge Management. |
